I come from the world of audiobooks, where poorly proofed, poorly edited, poor audio quality will have your listeners tuning out in the first 5 seconds and returning books. 

So many people try to go at this on their own and save money, but poor audio production can hurt your reputation, the work of your heart and the work of your hands. Audiobook platforms will accept marginal quality audiobooks, which will have people asking for refunds in the end.

Proofing

It's always good to have a second set of eyes reviewing your work! We can't see the mistakes we make (or we wouldn't make them, right?). I offer proofing services at a competitive industry rate, including identifying errors, inconsistencies in voice and mispronunciation. 

 

Audio Editing

I edit and master each audio file to ACX Technical Standards, plus clean up any lip smacks, clicks, hisses and pops so that people won't be put off of your hard work by common pet peeves.

 

 

Mastering

I NEVER over process my narrator's files. As an avid audiobook and podcast listener, I appreciate audio excellence. I'm always keeping abreast of the latest software versions and techniques to make sure we preserve that beautiful studio sound of yours.

  • Will you narrate the book yourself or hire a narrator? I offer proofing, editing/mastering, and narration services. How much of the audiobook do you want to clean up and master yourself? We'll figure it out together!
  • Does this all feel like too much? Don't worry! I'm a PRO. As a former project manager, I'm great at creating order out of chaos. Let me help you wrap your brain around the process. I've got you!
