Meet Minny and Charlotte from Cerulean Summer by MLA Entertainment!
I recently had the great privilege to announce that my daughter and I have been cast in a new, heartwarming series called Cerulean Summer! We are thrilled to play alongside some INCREDIBLY TALENTED voice actors and creatives. I heard the auditions for this series turned up hundreds and hundreds of phenomenally talented actors. I am grateful I will have the opportunity to represent so many of us that fell in love with these characters and enjoy the journey alongside of you.
I am Minny, the show’s open-minded and friendly main protagonist and the daughter of respected archeologists. She has spent her life moving from place to place around the world but decides to spend this summer vacation at her grandparents’ home in the small coastal town of Cerulean, a nostalgic place where she spent many summers when she was younger.
Minny is very easygoing, open-minded, and friendly. However, she can become very angry if someone she loves is taken advantage of or an injustice occurs. Although she is generally laid-back and sometimes reserved, she isn’t shy at all. She is very comfortable in her skin and treats everyone with respect unless they do something to ignite her sense of justice.
Minny is deeply interested in the supernatural and has collected strange artifacts during her world travels. She’s the type of friend you can have a great time with while being safe and responsible at the same time (though she can be accident prone and unintentionally reckless.) She is loyal to the end and cares deeply about people.
Indi is Charlotte, a sweet, bubbly ten-year-old girl. There is something very shocking about her that isn’t revealed until episode two. She becomes a main supporting role in episode two. Charlotte has an unrivaled happy-go-lucky nature and deep love for her friends.
She loves to play and have a good time. She has a secret responsibility to the town of Cerulean that makes her feel burdened, but she handles it in a mature fashion beyond her years. Though she is an open book, she tends to keep her deep feelings of loneliness and worry to herself in favor of enjoying the good things life has to offer.
Cerulean Summer is MLA Entertainment’s first audio drama and is about three teenage friends who experience an unforgettable summer together in the year 2000. Inspired by Kyoto Animation and Studio Ghibli, it is a powerful story with lots of tears, laughs, and a series with a supernatural twist that will be released on Spotify, major podcast apps, and YouTube as a visual novel, with original artwork showing the locations of each scene as they take place. The original soundtrack has been composed by Spider-Man and Ben 10 composer Jeffrey Penn Johnson and the very talented, mBOsco, will be creating the beautiful artwork and backgrounds for the visual version. It is Rated G to PG. There is no cursing, excessive violence, or inappropriate content in the series. There are some storylines involving physical abuse, terminal illness, and death. Nothing too intense though.
